I know there's been a lot of recent development in SLU, and looks like that will continue. Curious if there are many young families (say a couple + a toddler) who have decided to move to South Lake Union / Cascade.

Obviously this would mainly appeal to those who prefer urban living, wondering if this has caught on, and/or if that's the intent of the planners/developers of that area....Or is it being catered more for young single professional types..

thanks

Definitely catered more to the young single professional types.

In the Seattlepi.com, they were just talking about Family Urban living (but on Pioneer SQ). Its not really a concept that totally caught on in Seattle, but there are some families that are making a go of it. Link: Pioneer Square: A good place to raise kids? (http://www.seattlepi.com/lifestyle/419159_sm20100412_0p212a2077.html - broken link)

I think for that area, you might as well look up to Eastlake, since it would offer a tad more amenities that a family would need.

I think as time goes by it will be more common. Its not really the former generation's cup of tea.
