Cola of anytime is pretty good hang over remedy if it's a little flat. The syrup is best, like from a fountain with the C02, but even the carbonated stuff works pretty good.

Also taking tylenol or aspirin with a caffeinated drink assists uptake so it helps your headache go away faster. Just don't use too make caffeine for migraines or you can make it worse.

Olive oil and salt scrub to exoliate dry skin.

Fresh lemons or lemon juice in lemonade, tomato juice, iced tea or whatever you like, the more the better, helps dissolve kidney stones according to my urologist. The citrate is what does the trick.

The following has always worked for me/us.

Night time leg and foot cramps clear up a minute or two after simply drinking a full glass of water...sure beats all that stomping around and cursing I used to do.

Cold and 'flu can be avoided/minimized by increasing garlic (IMO, a natural antibiotic) in one's diet. We generally start eating more garlic when we feel the first chill in the fall air.

For nausea try a teaspoon of syrup of coke. A spoonful of sugar is a good works almost as well.

Cutting out the consumption of dairy products will almost eliminate acne within about two weeks... we had an Irish housekeeper who fixed my older brother's stubborn and painful pimples after he had tried many store bought remedies and visited the dermatologist for shots. She said that acne was Mother Nature's way of telling us it was time to give up the "baby food"! Well, my brother was a great milk guzzler.

You might be diabetic; headaches are symptom of hypoglycemia, which would temporarily resolve once you drank sugar.

On topic, I recommend a hydrogen peroxide/warm water ear irrigation to resolve upper respiratory infections. The bacteria that cause ear and sinus infections are anaeorbic, so the oxygen rich peroxide (H2O2) is very toxic to them. The crackling sound of the peroxide in the ar can be unsettling, and may cause vertigo due to the sudden change in ear pressure, so its best to sit down.

Marigold (calendula officinalis) has many dermatological uses as well.

Charcoal capsules (2-3) when you have diarrhea caused by intestinal bacterial infections. May repeat, if needed a few hours later but don't take on a regular basis.

Too much nutmeg -is- toxic. Not can be. Is. In high doses it is a lethal neurotoxin.

My home remedy first aid:
tea tree oil for cuts, abrasions, zits, rashes, bacterial infection or fungal infection.
lavender oil for 1st and 2nd degree burns
eucalyptus oil and wintergreen diluted in a carrier oil for muscle aches or spasms or any other problem that is relieved with heat treatments to the skin

I don't get sick often at all so I just suck down Nyquil when I'm feeling a cough. By the time the bottle's empty I'm usually fine again. Maybe one week out of the year, if that.

My favorite home remedy is Silver Sol a recently FDA approved nano version of silver in a solution
so tiny it diffuses into the red blood cell. It will kill all bacteria including gram negative, positive,
and very effective in ear infection including children where antibiotic are not recommended. It kills
fungus, molds and parasites. It's taken internally or externally (the later as a gel) See Dr Pedersen
on you tube for more details. Not to be confused with colloidal silver yet in it's distant family. It's
also sold as Guardian 10ppm,Silver Biotics,Sovereign, and ASAP. Recently cured 900 Africans in Nairobi
of Milaria in four days!!!! Used by defense department to treat wounds in Iraq and Afghanistan. Also
kills MRSA, herpes,Sars,Anthrax and VAP (ventilator assisted pneumonia's all flu's!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anything so small and soluble would cross the blood-brain barrier, I don't think silver particles accumulating in the brain is a good idea.
