Silver Sol is -not- FDA approved, it's a marketing scam. The FDA very specifically -disapproves- of silver treatments, finding them ineffective. In fact, the FDA issued a warning letter to a company claiming to sell FDA-approved Silver Sol, a nano version of silver in an ingestible solution.
Salt rubbed on hands affected by chili burn. (Found that out the hard way)
I use diluted lavender oil for a variety of problems, from insect bites to stinging nettle rash. Using lavender in an oil burner can assist with relaxation and help with sleep issues too.
A bit off the mark as "totally a home remedy" but if you lay in some icthymol (black drawing salve) it lasts for years: spider bites, bees stings, fly bites -- anything of that sort. Just cover it well; it will stain. My friends with horses get it from the vets and use it on animals and themselves; I get mine from the pharmacy. I guess they are the same; I stick to the human version
I eat the contents of a large jar of Clausen Dill Pickles. Then I drink the juice, filtering the solids with my teeth. It' gives me a great bowel movement six to eight hours later , but never diarrhea.
My two dogs both have big fluffy tails. Sometimes they bring in plant matter that I don't notice right away. Last night, when I walked barefoot to the bathroom I picked up a very fine tendril in the sole of my foot. I couldn't see to get it out; and it eluded my grasp. So I took some old style mucillage (glue), and smeared some on the general area. When it dried I pulled it off; it took the unpleasant plant piece with it.
I was rushed to several emergency rooms with attacks that turned out to be Gall Stones.
A large glass of icy 100% Apple Juice with a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar daily has controlled it
