Don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out!

If you look at the historical context of the quote you would note that it works the other way around. Adams was berateing the states that wanted to stay with the big bad king (today the current quasi totalitarian bound regiume) instead of standing up with the rest of the freedom loveing States that want to get away...............Looks like a refesher course in early American history is needed

Uh, that doesn't happen to be true.

There was a time, between the end of the Civil War and its rejoining the Union, that the Republic of Alabama was a free and sovereign nation.

You are correct

Looks like someone needs another history lesson....
Actually there were 4....
California, Vermont, Texas, Hawaii, it should be noted there were other republics that joined the Union:

Republic of West Florida (Approx 3 months before the US annexed it.) Republic of South Carolina (Existed for almost two months before the formation of Confederacy.
Flag of California - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In 1836, Juan Alvarado and Isaac Graham led a revolution against Mexican rule. During this first revolt, rebels were able to capture Monterey and declared California "a free and sovereign state". Although their rebellion failed to secure independence for California, it inspired the design of the flag of the Bear Flag Revolt. The Lone Star Flag of California contained a single red star on a white background.[7]

Arizona has a secession bill in the works and I saw on an official .gov site it had passed in the House. I can no longer find this particular link.

Well, we seem to be butting heads with the federal government quite a bit lately, so there's no telling...

Will Any State Have the Stones to *Secede* from U.S.!

I don't think the Stones will tour the U.S. again. Keith Richards has a new book out saying some rude things about Mick Jagger, they're in their 60's, and I don't know if they would even want to. I'm a big fan so I'm sure the Stones will succede in any U.S. state they toured in, probably L.A. and New York will have them for sure.

The very first thing to protect the citizenry or didn't you read the first three orders! The militia is spread so far and wide it wouldn't be practical nor make much sense.

If the states were to do so, they would have to return to the Feds all the money they accepted and all the lands therin. They can't and aren't. Wyoming is one of those states that receives more in return in funds than it pays in.

it is obvious you just do not understand a damn thing about states and their rights.

also remember, that all that land in those states have always been state lands and the feds just stole it from the states in the 1st place. also, if a state secedes, the feds will not have a choice in whether or not they get their nukes back at all, as that new state is now a sovereign republic/country of their own.

also please remember that a state does not need a few hundred of those nukes, all they need is 1 or 2 to put the threat upon the feds.

I still stand with my choice of Wyoming or Montana being the 1st states to secede if such comes to pass.

Of course the feds will have a choice about getting their nukes back; the nukes are under their control and they will just take them where they please, regardless of your personal interpretation of the legal situation. All weapons of our military, nuclear or conventional, belong to the federal government. Their present location is irrelevant and is also often temporary and changeable, as military bases have been closed in the past in order to save money.

Of course state national guard forces are a different situation, being under the control of the state's governor until such time as they may be called up and nationalized, but in any case they don't have nukes. And any state guard commander who would try to ignore a federal nationalization order would be guilty of treason. All military people have been well trained in how the legitimate chain of command works, and the higher their rank, the more true that is.

Our American Civil War was made possible because large numbers of people, including military people such as Robert E. Lee (who was in charge of putting down the Harper's Ferry raid, by the way), felt that their loyalty to their state overrode their loyalty to the federal government. Almost no one today feels that they are, first, a citizen of a state, and, second, a citizen of their country.

Someone's also missing a crucial piece of data in that without launch codes and activation codes, the nukes in MT and WY are grossly oversized paperweights.

Since they're also remotely targeted and launched, any request from the Federal government for their return would be a good idea, we wouldn't want any nuclear accidents happening because someone took it upon themselves to try to bypass the lockout mechanisms.
