Everything is contaminated with radiation, bio weapons, waste, etc. what do you do now to survive?

All your stores of everything from food to clothing is no longer usable. You can't bathe to clean your body.

What now??

If u have any advance notice at all and have a celler that u can live in until the radiation dies down with everything down there u need to survive, then I think you're prepared. But then when u come out above what will u do? Before u do that though u probably need a way to measure if its safe. Depending how close to a city or if u live in the direction weather flows. I think a rainny area is preferable because it will keep radiation from traveling far to u. But if u are to high in a mountain then u have more exposure to solar flares.

You'll probably need masks, oxygen, foods like onions, garlic to fight radiation diseases and maybe cream to protect ur skin. Several changes of clothes if u come inside from outside. If u don't have a celler I heard duck tape and plastic around your windows and doors can help keep the home airtight.

This is why I think its important to have a celler, even if it has a dirt floor to keep food and clothes safe. People who can afford underground compounds have them for the direct possibility of nuclear disaster attack or solar flares which are forecasted the next few years.

What now?

Nothing. Just try to die as painlessly as possible.

Unless you happen to come upon a cave full of edible creepy crawlies, you're pretty much done for.

"everything is contaminated"= too late

Avoid this with shielding and basic detox procedures (soap and water basically) scrape tainted topsoil and other basic, widely published steps.

Well, mine are all underground in a safe room that has 10" of concrete on all sides. Radiation (initially) is not that much of an issue. For that, food and clothing is ok. Enough food for 4 people for a year. Bio-weapons are another story, and I have not protected my external air feeds (yet). But that is not exactly rocket science to do that. And my underground water storage tank holds enough for months.... Ratemeter, docimeter, geiger.... all that stuff.. it is all dirt cheap.

So, the question 'What now??" for me is, I am all set. How about you??

I pretty much figure that if enough radiation emanates from somewhere, most folk will die particularly horrible and painful deaths. If I develop signs or symptoms - well, there's lots of bullets, and lots of ways to go more quickly than by radiation. I have low BP and am particularly susceptible to painkillers and sleeping tablets, even the mild ones...

Most of the other problems would have to wipe out entire cities all over the world completely before they even drifted this way, with much deterioration along the way... so with everything stashed in a dark and well-protected area, with enough room for not only us but everything, including a few chickens and a rooster, perhaps even a cow and bull if necessary and we can get them down there, if just for for a short time...

I just don't foresee an EOTW scenario to that massive extent, unless the next thing is the clouds parting and the sound of trumpets - altho, hey, I could be wrong. It's happened - once.

Why would you assume "everything is contaminated" if stored properly? Or was the assumption that people were not storing properly?

You wash/sterlize that which has been contaminated. When you cannot buy or use what you have stored you make your own. You can make an iodine from black walnut hulls that is quite good for sterilization, washing, etc... .

Heck, a person's preps could be completely wiped out by flooding or a tornado too. Might be a good idea not to put all of ones eggs in one basket, so to speak.

Best to have some bushcraft knowledge/skills so if you have to start from scratch at least you have a starting place. If you have a network of friends/family/community who have also prepped and are willing to help another, all the better.
