I think the Army is on to something here without using all the chemical voodoo others use to keep food fresh much longer..........

I saw a can of "great value" something on that table, I wonder if that's in the sandwich. I just had a great value bowl of beans and god couldn't even finish it. I wonder if the body digests that jam or if it takes 2 years.

I remember getting C and K rations in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s that were made during WWII. Apparently we knew how to store food longer back then - or I had a cast iron stomach and did not care what it tasted like!

Hershey developed a candy bar, that, doesnt taste very well, but, is very nutritious, and can last 100 years!!! Now, thats almost as bad as those C-Rations I ate in the 70s, that were labeled made in the 40s LOL.. Still went down, and stayed down, and even the ciggarrettes werent stale!! Now 'thats' doing something!

Crackers were in those C-Rations, because they didnt take much space, and you could spread stuff on them. They tasted good, and felt 'fresh' also.

I wish you well...

Jesse
