Milt Sparks doesn't make money belts.
(and I don't like the cheap ones that hang under my clothing.)

Many states require CCW holders to tell police officers if you are armed.
This tends to get their attention!

That makes sense. I hadn't thought about that.

if you are doing ccw and get out and lock vehicle behind you, tell the officer that you are carrying, then the cops really has no PC to search the vehicle as you are outside the vehicle. if he disarms you, then all PC for his supposed safety has gone out the window. hence no PC to actually search the car.

btw, always make sure your trunk is keyed differently and cannot be opened by an inside button.

I still don't understand what this is all about. Why would you want to carry something illegal in your trunk anyway? And if there is nothing illegal in your trunk, why would you care if a cop looks in there?

It has to do with reasonable search is my guess. Many a person has fallen victim to an essentially illegal request by a police officer to search their vehicle (mostly out of being afraid people will consent to it). You should know your obligations (such as reporting to the police officer that you are armed and have a permit to be so) but you should also know your rights.

the point being, the cop doesnt need to look in your trunk. it doesnt matter what the reason is. if he suspected you of something he could get a warrant. they are just trying to get you to consent to something you dont have to.

so by what you said, if a cop comes to your door of your home and wanted to search it, you would let him. remember, if they break something in your home or car, they cannot be held liable if you gave consent.

if you force them to get a warrant, and it turns out to be given with false pretense, then you can sue for any damages.

Look up asset forfeiture... Where you have to PROVE you got the cash, stuff etc recently...
Quite the scam

Avoiding the situation is the simple solution.
