The holidays are coming. Thanks to Happy In Wyoming with his book suggestions for prepper minded folks, it got me thinking about the upcoming holidays. What are some suggestions for gifts, and what gifts would you like to get this year?

Thanks in advance,

CCc Girl

Praise the Lord, and pass the new ammunition! (Some Hoppe's No. 9 would be nice, too!)

It depends on the person, but I like tools that don't need power to work.
Hand saws, Brace & bits, wrenches, draw knives, axes and crosscut saws, things that I can use no matter where I am to fix equipment, make new equipment or even build a house.

Some tools like brace & bits or mortise axes or shaping axes can be hard to find, therefore more valuable and a better gift for the self reliant person

I would like a solar elect system and solar hot water for the house. And .22 ammo!

A gift suggestion. We recently got a "brass wizard." It's thingy you roll on the ground and it picks up used cartridge casings (but not many rocks and junk) without needing to bend over!

The arbor press has so many uses it's hard to believe. A one ton press is inexpensive and the right size for most people. Handloaders need one for certain case forming tasks. Your husband probably owns one for pressing bearings.

You can't go wrong with any book I recommend. Check the threads on the Retirement forum on EDC and vehicle carry as well.

Stocking Stuffers

This is probably the best knife value on the planet. I give them to employees as Christmas presents. No one has enough knives.

These are fun.

These are practical. I wear one.

These are great for key chains.

Don't forget the ladies, now. Browning has a cute line of pink camo gear.

For those open to a little faith, I highly recommend the Duck Commander books, those written by the various family members.

Some NRA gear alsso came to mind, my DS loves her window decal, she was over the moon to put it on her car after she got her carry permit.

Knives are a great gift, since I make them, this time of year is busy for me as I get orders for gifts. Got 9 in the shop right now I need to finish.

That's an idea for a gift too, pay for a night class for something the recepient would like to know more about. Welding, cooking, blacksmithing, woodworking, house wiring, a class for CCR....

I have one of those. It's awesome. I never used to collect my brass, because the little bit of value there isn't worth wrecking my back. Now I bring home most of my brass (can't always find all of it) without any pain!
