Hmmm...When you consider that there are only 95 U.S. Marshals and 2,500 Deputy U.S. Marshals, I think that those folks might have a difficult time enforcing laws across a country as vast as the United States.
Wouldn't it make more sense to invoke Martial Law--which enables the use of the military--rather than trying to rely on fewer than 2,600 U.S. Marshals?
About 30 years ago the mayor of Omaha announced, on a Friday night, that there maybe a gasoline shortage that weekend. He was wrong, he made the announcement at 6PM and the gasoline lines at the gas pumps were a city block long within an hour. He was right, almost all the gas stations in Omaha were out of fuel that weekend.
When the markets collapse it will only take 2-3 days.
Grocery stores could be emptied in a few hours depending on the reason for the collapse. When we have a serious winter storm coming, the shelves are emptied the day before of essential items. If there is a riot a few hours would be closer to how fast, just like what happened in Baltimore at the CVS.
I can't figure out whether people are spoofing here about zombies, or whether they are so ignorant as to believe there is such a thing. If the latter, what has happened to science education in our schools?

Hmmm, I thought those were the guys doing the posting.
Anyone who lives in Florida has seen how people revert to being animals when they panic. Every time we have a Hurricane threat people suddenly run to the grocery stores and will beat the hell out of another person to get that last loaf of bread. Even mild mannered old ladies will become violent when they think they are going to not get food to keep them alive. When we had gas shortages I saw people fighting in line because they thought the guy in front of them was taking too long or getting too much gas.
was bad !I think it will go down as fast and furious as it did as a result of Y2K.......Jan 1, 2000
THAT was really bad !
Heck, we're all still recovering from the coming of Comet Kahoutek, and that was over 4 decades ago.
I'm sure everyone remembers the destruction wrought by that event.
OK, when things go south, what's the timeline? How fast is the S going to HTF?
Let's say markets don't get their nightly delivery. By the next night shelves will be showing the signs. A second day without delivery - will people panic when shelves strart selling out of popular items. Will the media cause panic. By day three will a buying frenzy take place when people realize there is no more coming?
Or will premptive looting cause a cascade effect?
How long before people start rioting and attacking others for food?
I figure when it goes, it will be the currency collapse.
the dollar is tied in with most things on the planet as the world reserve currency, and too many countries have their economies tied up in the dollar as well and they will collapse or be hit really hard by the dollar hitting bottom.

We are discussing the Zombie Apocalypse and your only question is about a spelling error?
