lol

would you pay your children an allowance
to go outside with a flash light on their heads and collect crickets in a jar at night
and pay them 10 bucks an hour lol or 10 bucks a week

and you and your wife/husband can cook them up and eat them
but of course in this society you couldn't feed them to your children unless the children asked
that would be considered child abuse/neglect in this society

how about earth worms

I'm in a silly mood

if you've got to that stage you've probably failed at all the other ways of obtaining food.

We used to take the whole family shrimping and clam digging. I guess it's not the same.

Crickets? If it comes to that better watch your six, cause I eat meat.

I've tried a variety of inscts and similar. They don't really taste very good to me although some view them as a delicacy. Insects in cans seem to generally be packed in cottonseed oil.

A word of warning. Do not eat them if you are allergic to chocolate. A chocolate allergy is actually an allergy to insect parts which are always found in chocolate. Chocolate covered aunts would be a double dose. Yes, I've seen them and I think I've tried them. One of my aunts gave insects to everybody one year as Christmas presents. She only did that once.

I breed crickets. You can try cricket flour, you won't notice a difference and it's packed with protein. Also cricket rearing is a lot better for the environment, less water, feed per pound than meat. Also they have a lot more nutrients than beef. Google it and see the benefits for yourself.
