How do you get stuck inside your house for a whole year, not able to go outside but getting all your basic needs needs met? Supplies stocked up, nuclear blast? Carnivorous alien invasion so it is dangerous to go outside? Maybe captured and placed into an alien zoo?
Electricity or not? Paper and pencil, I can write a book. It's easier with the computer, but I can write longhand. I could draw. I always wanted to study origami. Are we allowed to have books to read? If I am not stuck here in the house alone (buried in a gigantic snow drift?) we could have paper airplane races.
Dogs, no issue. You have them potty on paper and then flush their poo down the toilet. After all, you are getting all your basic needs met and that means a place to relieve yourself.
Is there some sort of million dollar prize at the end of this?
99% of people would go certifiably crazy and insane within a short period of time and for good reason. We are social animals. I'd personally find a way to kill myself with the paper and pen if I was forced into this with no potential reward. You would need vitamin D supplements for lack of sun. You would become lethargic, depressed, apathetic, your muscles could atrophy and worst of all you'd go completely mad.
I think I could stay on a very remote piece of land for a full year without leaving if I had all the provisions, but I would need to go outside daily. I'm pretty introverted but I still wouldn't enjoy having zero company.
This scenario sounds a lot like prison, only worse, no thanks. The only other possible reason to stay inside that long would be from nuclear fallout. Still, I'd take my chances breathing the outside air within 3 months tops. I'd rather glow and die of radiation than go mad.
