You just dump it. It's not toxic. The contents are calcium chloride or some such, won't even hurt your garden. You could reuse the plastic bucket if you wish. The chemicals are really cheap when bought separately, rather than buying more Damp Rid.

Friend of mine in Houston working with other friends has been demoing houses and yesterday posted pictures of baseball card collection damaged pretty badly by the flood...
Person had hundreds of cards...one was Mickey Mantle rookie card...

I told her about the cat littler suggestion
