Imagine for a moment; all lawful guns are restricted or confiscated! Do you honestly believe that the unlawful will turn in their guns? When the lawful individuals have no guns and the unlawful do; who is safer?

90% of americans have repeatedly said DO NOT outlaw guns as whole! Limit them like other things are limited to reduce the changes of serious bodily harm or death.
Of the two rifles shown, which one was banned and which one was not in the prior weapons ban? What did the non-banned rifle have in common with the banned rifle?

The situation you describe creates one class of person poessessing guns. Anyone is an unlawful possesser under those conditions if you have a gun. I will be an unlawful person at that point. I have made my peace with that, and plan to be as good at being a criminal and terrorist as I have been at the rest of my life. If I do as well at that, I could be infamous before its over...

I disagree. You would be lawful, and the government would be unlawful.
I would be unlawful. I never said unjust or unrighteous. There is a difference. I do not draw my code from the laws of men, nor do I respect those laws when they are not observed by the governed and the government alike. What we have now is near anarchy. The rules are nothing more than what the men with the guns say they are. Fine. I have my own guns, and I follow my own rules. Mess with that at your peril.

What we have today is somewhere between tyranny of a Secular Human Kleptocracy, and Socialist Democracy (and democracy is a suicide pact). Our nation forsook the moral high ground around 1900, and has been suffering the consequences of that since around 1930. (FDR and his unconstitutional "laws" were a symptom of our losing our way, rather than the cause.)
