Growing up, the canned food in the bilge of the sailboat for when you got fogged in was the things listed here. Canned ham. Spam. Dinty Moore. Chili. Tuna. Turkey/chicken. Soups.
In my boat, I go with dehydrated food from REI or similar. Cans rattle around. For survival food, cans are heavy if you have to move them.
If I had to pick one canned food, I’d go with canned ham.

You mention dehydrated foods which some seem they can last forever. Which brings up the expiration dates on canned foods. Many canned foods have short shelf lives according to their expiration dates. Here is a good article that claims that many of those expiration dates could be extended for years if the cans are keep moderately cool: https://www.today.com/food/when-do-c...expire-t119977.
I always questioned can expiration dates because the military was feeding me rations from WWII in the 1970s! Fortunately I am still here!
Probably tuna or salmon. When I lived in Hawaii, I did have a hurricane and other if SHTF stuff, which included Costco size cans of tuna, chili, baked beans, and some boxed items like couscous, instant oatmeal, etc.

We would have Campbells Chunky Beef Soup poured over bread!
In an Extended Emergency, you might have to stay on the move and only take what you can carry. I have to agree on corned beef hash. I'm also very partial to a jar or 2 of peanut butter. You need food that has a very good protein/calorie to space/weight ratio.
Anything you need to cook or mix with condiments would drive me crazy faster than usual, also uses space and effort on other cooking supplies and things.
If you can bug-in, hunker down and, have a defensible perimeter, a team or family to man it and, weaponry, then live your life but, with guard shifts.
A lot of people will just have their bag. Even more people will roam desperately and erratically accosting who they think they can at that moment.
