One may recall an SF novel from the late 40's called "Earth Abides". Dealing with a world wide pandemic destroying mankind except for a few individuals. No monsters or zombies but I liked it because the Author seemed to deal a lot with the emotional impact such an event would have on the survivors. Interesting (to me anyhow)

Some people on other forums mention the movie medical thriller Contagion. I see the trailer video on Youtube and later in day see short video end of movie, which depicts how the virus start and it is sort of creepy.

That is scary. I just read somewhere else that dirt was being piled high to prevent people from leaving infected areas. Common sense tells me that hospitals are either out or running low on supplies.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this came from a mishandled biological weapon the Chinese were working on in Wuhan. No government in the world would admit the truth... because every government works on secret biological weapons, including ours.
They are looking for hotels without A/C in Wuhan.
So far they found 85. Not clear how many rooms total.
They hurriedly are building 2!!! additional hospitals- why are they so sure they would need it so fast?
Somebody is not talking... looks like they know more than they let on...
