I don't feel guilty about it.

One of the main reasons I shop online is because I can basically shop the world, from my chair. I don't want to use up gas and time driving all over, looking for...whatever it is I'm looking for.

For instance, these days, I'm in the market for a floor lamp and a corner hutch. I have an idea of what I'm looking for, but what am I supposed to do otherwise? Drive to every furniture store, antique store within a 50 mile radius, with nothing guaranteed that I'll even find what I'm looking for? eh.

Shopping online is available 24/7, no waiting. Meanwhile most brick and mortar stores are open at about the same hours that I work myself. Plus there is traffic, dumb salespeople and panhandlers to deal with.

Nope, not when local stores don't carry the goods I'm looking for.

Shopping on line has many advantages over making a trip out to see if you can find exactly what it is you need.

No reason to feel guilty since the entire industry is changing and although I might not agree with online retailing, my own purchases will do little to change the current trend.

It would be like buying music cd’s because you were against digital music or books from book stores as opposed to digital one. There’s really no way to stop the inevitable

Have zero guilt. You being close to me does not obligate me to buy anything from you.

I kind of feel guilty since an opportunity was wasted by the owner/s to commit to knowledge and being helpful.
I cannot go into a brick and mortar store and find any intelligent life. So, I do my own research and go from there.

No guilt at all. I don't buy much of anything from Amazon; I buy online from stores that have physical locations (mainly Target, but even JCPenney recently) so they're still getting my money.

I do find it strange when I order a bunch of things worth $X (above the free shipping minimum) and they all arrive in numerous small packages, but that's the retailer's choice.

That happens to me when I order from Amazon. It's because some items are stored in one Amazon warehouse and other items are stored in a different Amazon warehouse, maybe across the country.

shopping online is much easier given my location.
shopping for say clothes would take most of the day if I went to a store, then there is the cost of fuel and parking charges, when I get to the store they haven't got the item I want or not in my size so its a wasted journey, I order what I want in the size I want and it is delivered to my door, it also keeps the mail woman- who is local- in a job.
