I agree care to link the true story? Usually if its $100,000 I don't think usually a normal person can just pick it up and drop it. Something that expensive is usually behind glass I would imagine. And if you're shopping in a place that has that type of expensive stuff out in the open then $100K is probably pocket change to you.

Charge it to your credit card, then call the credit card company to cancel the order beause of defective merchandise.

The store is probably insured for that type of problem, but they could also make a case against you for being responsible and negligence.
