What are some popular gifts this holiday season for the people on your list? I really enjoy Christmas shopping but I've always had the problem of never being able to figure out what to get everybody. I buy gifts for about two dozen people including my parents, aunts and uncles, nephews and nieces, a few cousins, and a couple friends.
What are "hot" gifts this year? What are some good ideas for older people who have everything? What about for some younger kids between 8-11? I have a nephew and niece that age that are absolutely great and between my parents, my brother, and myself...those kids are absolutely SPOILED. But it's really fun to do! I'm thinking maybe an iPad 2 for each, good for kids that age or not?

Ideas for good gifts this holiday season?
I can never keep up with what my nieces or godson are into each year, so I ask their mothers and then get them a gift card to whatever store she names. My in-laws get gift cards (usually Jo-Ann Fabric and Best Buy), my mother doesn't get one though, because she never uses the darn things, and they end up useless. We'll probably take her to dinner and a movie. Since I work morning shift, she works pm shift and my husband works overnight, we don't see her very often, so she'll really appreciate the time together. My husband is getting the PS3 he's wanted for a few years, since the price came down on it, and he also is getting 1 video game and maybe a membership to Gamefly. For his birthday (5 days before Christmas) he's getting a Barnes and Noble gift card so he can buy books for his Nook, and maybe a TV series on DVD.
A list are those who I want to give something very special because they are very special to me. I usually look for something that is personal and would be appreciated. Its not alway expensive but is something that I belive they conveys my feelings towards them. Not too many on that list.
The B list is most everyone else and the gifts can be something personal or a gift card. many times its just somethingt hat caught my eye and I thought of them.
The C list are those who you give because they will give you something but otherwise, its more a formality than a true gift from the heart.
My family always does a book exchange where we each purchase a book for someone else. My pick for this year is the book November Ever After by Craig Greenlee. It's about the plane crash of 1970 that killed the MU college football team so its perfect for them men in my family - sports + good story = winner :-)
