I think / hope there are more of US. Your narrow views are becoming archaic.

Target is not French-owned. They were founded in and remain based in Minneapolis.

So do I for the same reason. French or not.

They were? How disgusting. I'll do some more research on this, but if it is true I will stop shopping at Target immediately. Thanks for the heads up.

I would like Target more if they had 24 hour stores and self-checkout. It is a truly harrowing experience to have several items, having to wait in some long line because only 2 of the 24 registers are open. At least Wal-Mart has self-checkout in many stores.

Honestly, I'm NOT thrilled Wal-Mart sells firearms and ammunition (IMHO, that's disgusting and wish they wouldn't do it), but I still shop there from time to time.

I think stop shopping at a place just because you don't agree with something they sell or are doing is a bit extreme.

What would you ladies do if EVERYONE did what Target is doing? Then where would you shop? To be honest, you WOULDN'T be shopping anywhere, would you? How would you even survive?

I'm not big on self-checkouts though I've used them.

Would definitely like to see 24-hour Targets. Actually, I'm kind of perplexed why the Super Targets aren't 24-hour stores like the Super Wal-Marts.

Not aroud me. There's no self checkouts at any of the Wal-Marts in the Chicagoland area to the best of my knowledge.

Yes, sometimes I do. Usually on Sundays. It's on the opposite side of town from my daily commutes to/from work. DH and I usually stop at the
Commons on Sunday, before hitting our usual grocery store. Yeah Target, altho not the biggest of a grocery section as some I've been to but for some items, i suppose it can be rather convenient. We'll usually go to some of the other stores because they tend to close before 5pm on a Sunday whereas Target is open a little longer.

Store Hours: M-Fr: 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Sa: 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Su: 8:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m..

No self-checkouts either at our Target.
I know there was one Walmart in our area that used to have a couple self-checkouts but that didn't last long. Just like some Walmarts did away with the small hand-baskets.
