The last time I shopped at our local Wal-Mart I noticed that their "Great Value" food products are taking over larger and larger sections of the store...Has anyone noticed this? Have you tried many "Great Value" food items? What do you think?

I buy a lot of Great Value products. Most of them are no different from the name brands. I have found one or two that were not as good, but they were not bad by any means.

You take your chances. Some A OK. Some for the dumpster. I like good value real American Cheese. I suspect is is a Mid America dairy product.

Most of them are pretty good. I do know that their Great Value bread is made by Bunny Bread.

Uh huh, taking over. I particularly am not fond of the stark white packaging, am now buying regular brands more and weaning off of Wmart. Hard to find what I used to find there.

Store brand product are often both a better value and better in flavor. We use these money savers most of the time over name brands finding little , if anything, wrong with any of them.

I buy and try store brands too...But grocery stores don't push their brands "in your face" as much...They still carry a large selection of other brands...This is what I prefer.
