Unfortunately, we ALL need these products...well, especially the toilet tissue. I personally can't live without paper towels myself. But having to pay for these types of paper products on a regular basis can feel like a waste.

Do you buy a certain brand from the same store all the time? I want to know which stores have the best prices on these 2 items, .

To me, there's such a things as getting paper towels & toilet tissue that's TOO cheap, like from the 99 Cent store or Dollar Tree. It's not even worth getting them from those stores. They're too thin & rip up & don't do a good job at all.

I think if you can get an 8-pk of towels for $5.49 & a 12-pk of tissue for $4.69, that's considere good. I think Walmart is the only store that has those prices permanently...not just on an occasional sale.

Why don't you just buy the large packages? Then you won't have to buy them all the time. Buy one of the name brands, and they should last longer. Or you can join Costco and buy your items in bulk, then you can avoid buying them for a while.

Yes, we buy the largest bundle, usually on sale, of national brand like Northern. It's the most cost effective.
Cheap stuff you use more of than you realize as it doesn't go as far as most brand names. And some stuff just falls apart making it useless.
We like the Bounty 'select-a-size' for paper towels. You don't have to waste a whole sheet when it's not necessary. They're strong and very absorbent.

I buy the large sizes, and I live by myself. I don't like to keep going to the store to buy the same item every week.

I am a Bounty fan BUT discovered a Walmart brand that says strong and absorbent on the package that is a little cheaper. To my surprise, they seem to work pretty good and I now keep stocked on that brand and Bounty and I just mix them up a little.
I can't stand the Scott paper towels. They feel like sandpaper!

I wanted to add one more thing here. I too cannot live without paper towels, but I also try to use those washable microfiber clothes a little more often. For toilet paper, well I must admit I do like the Scott brand or the no brand that has as many sheets and layers!

Seriously?
A roll of paper towels lasts a year here.
I use rags.

I have paper towels, but rarely use them. I use rags also, and get dishcloths from the $.99 only store. I have lots of them, so I don't run out of clean ones to use.

I rarely use paper towels.. only for dog poo and candle making (to wipe out oil and wax)

I am a couponer.. when they are free or damn near close I buy as many as I can. I dont hoarde like those wackos on tv.. but 20 rolls will last me a year.

I am also fond of blue papertowels they have at sams.. they suck up EVERYTHING.

As for toilet paper.. either coupons or SlickDeals. I never pay shelf price for toilet paper... ever. And yes, I like my quileted northern and charmin.

The Kirkland brand paper towels and tp work just fine and you get a lot of paper for your money.

National brands of tp are getting to be more air and fluff than actual paper. The rolls don't last long because they are loosely wrapped to make it appear there is a big roll of paper, but there really isn't much there. The Kirkland is a big solid double roll with proper texture and a roll lasts awhile.

The paper towels are a good price and the quality is good. I don't like cheap paper towels with their hard and less absorbent texture.
