Potato chips are the worst offender. They fill the bag full of air and give you a lot fewer chips. "Some settling may occur," is their lie. No settling happened. They just gave you less and a lot of air.

Larabars: Always bought these and the bar would fit the wrapper perfectly. Then a conglomerate bought Larabar and started shrinking the bars, so when you open the wrapper, there is about 1/3 less and it seems to be growing. Soon it will be 1/2 less. And then I will quit buying them forever. I need to make my own bars.

Cans of beans: full of water.
Cans of soup: used to be filled almost to the top, now it's 1/3 of the way down.
Coffee: used to be filled to the top, now it's 1/3 of the way down. Etc for every product out there. From yogurt to chips. Even pet food.
I remember the 1970's and buying a bag of chips, it would be filled to the top with chips, no air! And no pretend settling ever happened. Coffee would be filled to the top. Everything was filled to the top. Yogurts as well.

I just hate how food companies keep shrinking the product and charging the same or more for less. If they shrink it, lower the price. Quit screw-ing the masses.

I'm a larabar person too and noticed the shrinking in this product and others.

I don't know how manufacturers are selling snack items like chips and pretzels. The prices went way up and no one seems to ever have that stuff in their carts anymore. I'll have to check out what is going on with soup.
