I bought a product through Amazon.com as a gift and now it turns out the product does not work (A watch) , I want to return the item since they didn't allow an exchange ,and now the lowest price on Amazon is more expensive.. I doesn't seem right to have to pay more for an item when it was initially bought at a lower price.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I also can't seem to find the same model watch cheaper elsewhere .

Physically call Amazon and speak to a person. If the watch is coming from the Amazon itself then they will usually adjust the price. If it comes from a outside vendor or vendor fulfilled by Amazon then probably not. It has to be sold by Amazon and not the other two.

Call them and explain your situation. They have the best customer service in the world.
You can call 1-866-216-1072 (1-206-266-2992), 1-800-201-7575 for an automated customer service line, or
you can use Amazon's "Call me" feature through your PC and they will call you. To do this, click on the "Help" link and then click on the yellow "Contact Us" button.
Good luck!!
