My washer does not have an automatic detergent dispenser, so I have to measure and add the liquid to the clothes. Doing laundry doesn't bother me, but there is one thing... I have to dig a sock or something out of the washer and wipe the cup. Then half the time it gets on my hands. If I don't wipe the cup, the leftovers dry in the bottom and I end up with a quarter of an inch of sticky, gummy detergent in the bottom and it grosses me out.
Now that I'm coming to the end of the jug, I was thinking about buying a package of the laundry pods from Costco. I know they're more expensive than the bottled liquid, but I only do two loads a week so one 90 count package would last me almost a year. My concern is I usually was loads on cold, and our water is very hard.
Has anyone used them? What was your experience? Do you still have to add fabric softener?
I buy pods for laundry for convenience. I don't have a washer/dryer in my apartment and it's a lot easier than lugging a bottle or box of detergent to the laundry room. As far as I can tell, they work fine.
