Which of these do you prefer? Do you think it's better to shop at your local health food market over Whole Foods? I can't see any health food market competing with Sprouts since it's kind of a different type of health food market.
If I could I would do my local health food market, Sprouts, and Trader Joe's. Whatever I couldn't afford at our local market I'd get at Sprouts, and then I'd get some stuff at Trader Joe's.
I wonder if it's possible Sprouts will be bought out or Whole Foods may be bought out?
Our local food coop is even more expensive than Whole Foods. I haven't been very impressed with Sprouts. They don't really have that much organic stuff, especially in the meat dept. They don't seem to be doing that much business. I doubt anyone will buy out Whole Foods. They're still expanding.

Are you kidding me about Sprouts? I wish we had one around here. I like their prices. I like Whole Foods for their discount brand. Don't you feel better when you shop at your local co op though? You know everything comes from local vendors and you are supporting some one in your community instead of a chain in Austin.
I feel like the only way I'd support a chain these days if they offered the better prices except grocery markets being the exception.

I rented two tables at two different farmers market this summer , me and another guy- he dressed like an amish guy and brought his horse -
we charged what whole foods did, and sold "native" organic maine pineapples for 8.00 each, same with coconuts
and we sold 3.00 tomatos 1.00 cukes
before the farmers market opened,,,we all agreed to sell stuff for the same price-
the progressive prius driving tourists couldn't get enough of this stuff
my partner does own a farm, the name of his farm is ORGANIC so everything was labeled local organic farm
I just don't think we should have all these Whole Foods and Sprout's. What's wrong with having a local health food market?
I usually shop at Ross, Marshall's, some locally owned stores, and our outlet mall for clothes. True Value, Orchard Hardware Supply, and Miners Ace Hardware for home improvement stuff. Online, Wal-Mart, or Office Max for electronics. Payless, our outlet mall, or local shoe store for shoes. We have Petco and Lemos Pet Supply for pet products. For groceries I go to Trader Joe's and our local health food market and some stuff at Wal-Mart. I been trying to not even drive 15 minutes for shopping.
I guess in big cities it's okay to have more chains. That is more of the nature of cities.
