Stores I once liked but don't anymore - the only one I can think of is Radio Shack.
Truth is I have never fallen out of favor for stores, as whatever initial feeling I had about places I go stay the same. I never liked Walmart, Kohl's, or Target that much, but go out of convenience. Sears has always been OK, and Best Buy for my electronics I like.
As a side answer, there are stores I used to like but decided to stop existing, like Tweeter Etc, Lechmere, Bradlees.
JCP. They have been "MY" store since I got my first job with them back in 1976. The catalog, with it's TALL SIZES was a godsend to me. I've got a bunch of pants that I bought on clearance before they did that whole big change up a few years ago that I'm still wearing now. I saw the writing on the wall and just kept buying whenever they had anything in stock. I got colors I didn't even want and 2 different sizes "just in case". Unfortunately they will need to be replaced soon and even though they tried to go back the quality, style and fit are not what they were before.
I have never been more sad about a store than JCP.
No one in our house has bought anything from Sears for a very long time. It's just so much more expensive than other stores. Both of the Sears locations I've been in over the last year or so look out of date. The only reason I was even in them was because that was where I entered the mall from.
