I missed the sales on Monday and did my research on the 360 and one a little too late before deciding on the Xbox one. Does anyone know or think they will go on sale again before Christmas? Like, $299.00 again for 500gb Xbox one. I have looked online every freaking...day...for a price like that again.

Maybe.

Microsoft had the best deal at $299 + $60 + a free game. I'd keep an eye out there.

Costco has the 1TB + Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Rare Replay, and a full-game download of Ori and the Blind Forest for $394.99.

I'd get the 1TB if I were you. The 500GB model hard drive will be full after you put 5 or 6 games on it since every game does a full install. Unless you plan on buying an external hard drive later, then get the 500GB model.

Does this apply to the games that are on a disk or downloads?

Yep, even disk based games do a full install to the hard drive. So disk and download will take up the same space on the hard drive. Difference is you don't need the disk in the drive to play downloaded games.

The new consoles (Xbox One and PS4) are basically PCs. The whole game has to be installed to the hard drive. But at least you can add external storage later if you need it. Wii U is the only one that still plays games off the disk.
