Two people would not work.
How you play, is each person takes a turn being the "judge". The judge draws a special card that will have something like an adjective on it (such as fuzzy). The other players than look at the cards they have in their hand, and picks one of their cards that best fits the description. The judge looks through each card, and picks which card he/she thinks best fits the category. The winner can be the one that makes the most sense (such as a puppy) or one that is funny (such as a card saying "my past"), there are no rules as to how to pick a winner.
The judge does not put one of their own cards in, so if there were only two players, there would only be one card being "judged" each time. No one would ever have more points than the other, since you would switch off winning each round. And there's really no fun in only picking from one card. With three people, only two cards are "judged" each time, so really, its best to have a lot of people playing. My family plays this game at Thanksgiving or Christmas when there are 10+ people playing. I don't think I would ever want to play with less than 5 people.
