Folks, looking to buy one in the next few weeks. Haven't worn a suit for a while but wanted some feedback. If I wanted to pick one for to wear through the airports with jeans and then dress up a little for dinners, what advice do you think for design, color, pattern? Is their a difference between the two coats and are they supposed to fit differently? I am not looking for a "loud" or attention getting garment, probably a more traditional conservative look. Is the Navy blazer a solid choice or would you recommend something else. Where is the best place to shop for these garments?
Navy and solid grey blazers are a staple of industries that require a uniform and employ management where use of a cheap coverall wouldn't be appropriate. Stay away from those unless you want people coming up to you asking where the restroom is. Fabric varies. For cooler weather a tweed works, warmer weather suggests a lighter weight fabric (wool can be considered lightweight, so don't dismiss it or blends) and a small pattern. Penneys is decent about having a basic selection but look for discount days, as the list price is overpriced.
I see you posted in fashion & beauty, you have responses there.
