Amazon Used Products? (stores, deals, buy, eBay)

I have been looking at SLR cameras on Amazon. New ones cost $1500 or so but they offer used ones for a lot less. The used cameras seem to come from dealers and individuals. It looks like the seller self-rates it (Good, Excellent, Like-New.....). But the information otherwise is minimal. For instance, not all sellers have a photo of the item.

My question is, does anyone have experience, good or bad, using this service? I guess it is Amazon's answer to eBay but it looks incomplete with such little info available from the seller.

How does payment and returns work?

i would (and have) buy a used slr from keh.com or adorama.com because they are reputable camera stores.

I've bought a couple used small digital point-and-shoot cameras from Amazon sellers. Not a problem at all. I will say, I did choose 3rd party sellers with a good rep, and who provided pictures of the actual camera for sale.
There's also Amazon warehouse deals, you can sometimes find a good one in there.

Payment is the same as buying anything through Amazon. Pick one, put it in your cart, and check out.
All Amazon sellers are required to accept returns, so no worries there.
