Since Sam Walton passed away his children and others running the company have slowly started getting more and more for their products and also valuing their employees less and less.
The trouble is the company is so big, sam did a good job running it, he never forgot where he came from and what it takes to live day to day in the real world.

The economy is tough. No company can continue rolling back until it eats into the profits.

Maybe just more and more shoppers realized that stuff by Walmart is mostly junk? Now, everyone trying to be more savvy, some people try to spend their money more wisely, for products that have more quality and last longer.

actually, walmart is evolving. they are seriously going green and making lots of positive changes not only in their factories for employees but for the environment and changing thier products and vision.

it goes to show that complaints as well as issues raised does work eventually.

I didn't said every shopper realized that...and of course this is a subjective opinion, however there were many shoppers that think just like me.

Fro what I have seen wal-mart is still droping pirces on many items. They also have made shopping much easier because of the redesign of their stores with wider isles etc.Bascailly I see mnay of the same items in target;and even mom and pop stires as wal-mart and wal-mart usually beats the others prices.
