Oh, well, nobody here said these stores provide shopping "experience"... I personally don't care as much for the "experience." Many times too much fake attention drives me nuts anyway. And if I can get something of the same quality for less, the store is a winner in my book! Frees up funds for other pleasures.

Marshalls, Ross, TJ Maxx, just go away.
He-he, let's hope you don't have magical powers!

I have found that many of these discount stores carry merchandise that was either way overpriced in the original stores or just inferior in some way and would not sell there.

Perhaps, if a person were to shop there daily, something might arrive that was just overstocked, though. I don't know because I am not a compulsive shopper.

This is absolutely true! I used to loooooooooove TJ Maxx, especially the TJ Maxx and More in Aliso Viejo. Everytime I went in I found loads of great stuff.

Every TJ Maxx I've been to in the Dallas area is utter crap compared to it. I don't even bother anymore, for the most part.

Now I just shop the Nordstrom's sale racks.

LOL, I am there almost every day. I shop a lot for my design clients, so I suppose thats my defense mechanism against being called a shopaholic!

TJ Maxx usually works out the best for me quality wise but I have friends who don't do discount stores and only malls/Target...and have some who need other people to go with them because it tires them out and frustrates them due to always having to go thru everything and so much looking around?
Marshals is the best followed by TJ Maxx. AJ Wright and Value City aren't in the same ball park Target is my favorite big discounter. Ross Dress for Lass is my fav all around for house decor. They are not here in CT so I have to wait till I go home to the south to shop.
