1. Craigslist (love love love the privacy/anonymity )
2. local Facebook "buy sell & trade" groups (less private, but "real" people can and do respond to ads, and they respond QUICK)
3. Amazon marketplace (useful for selling to non-local buyers, for a small fee, I like it because Amazon *actually* investigates disputes unlike PayPal which simply/automatically sides with the scammer every time )
Here are the ones I stay away from and avoid like the plague:
1. Ebay (legit site, but lotsa scammers! )
2. PayPal (scammer CENTRAL! when someone wants to pay for something "with PayPal" I end the conversation right there, be VERY wary of PayPal and PayPal "customers"!)
Got any websites or recommendations to add?? I'm always looking for new/interesting places to buy and sell

There is nothing wrong with Paypal - I have used it for over 10 years now with no issues, for both buying and selling. I buy off ebay and used to sell there as well. These days I have not found a good venue for selling.
Craigslist.
I've had good luck with Offer Up, less with Let Go (both are apps.
Some luck with Nextdoor.com.
Zero stuff sold on Facebook local pages.
Occasionally ebay, which is the only time I take PayPal.
We've used local forsale bulletins ( including Facebook groups) and Craigslist. Town provides a safe place for the transaction that is clearly marked, near the police station, and covered by a security camera.

My boyfriend uses Craigslist, Letgo, and a Men's Garage Sale group on Facebook. There is another app that was advertised called Wallapop. Next he wants to try Amazon so that he doesn't have to wait for an auction to be over on eBay.
