As someone who has been looking for a job for months, this is completely irritating. Be sure to let us know how it goes when you have a bunch of free time on your hands.
All of you have seriously misjudged your value to the company. I suggest all of you proceed as planned so that 25 new people, who do want to work by the way, can have your jobs.
I work at Michaels Arts and Crafts. On black friday, the store opens at 6am and every employee is scheduled to work at some point of the day or another.
"At some point of the day or another"? Does that mean everyone is getting part of the day off?
Knowing Michaels, as well as most businesses, you'd all get fired. They could get replacements quickly from other stores and temp services. Your record of this foolishness would follow you forever.

As well as calling back ex-employees who parted on good terms and offering incentive pay.
I know of a company where employees in a certain department were so convinced they couldn't be replaced and were so incensed about their supposedly dreadful working conditions that they agreed they would all quit. That'll show 'em!
Except some of them didn't quit.
It took one of the quitters two years to find another job.
You're assuming that the 25 of you are the only ones who can run the registers. The mgmt can and in a pinch, I'm sure some floor staff could, too. You're really only crippling them for the first few hours and it's not like the CEOs are going to suffer. It's the workers who make about the same as you who will have a worse day.
Retail is hard, BF is hellish but it's just one day. I'm not sure why you want to make it harder for other people just for the lulz.
Calling this a prank gives us a clue as to the intelligence level behind the idea.
