I went out yesterday and spent all day shopping local businesses. Beauty products, gourmet food items, garden stuff, antiques, etc. I had never done this before. It felt good but I also felt sad. What is the long-term viability of these businesses? I dunno. I probably overpaid for all of the things I bought. I'm not going to torture myself by googling it all. But who can afford to overpay for stuff? In this economy? When wages are stagnant?
