Not worth it at $120/yr. to have 'instant gratification'; I dropped it after it went up from $99.
Get out from behind the 'puter and go to a store. IF it hasn't been put out of biz by Amazon.
Sure, I'll just go to a store every time every single time I need anything at all, on my lunch hour or maybe even after my 11 hour work days. After finding parking and passing the gauntlet of beggars at the door, hopefully they'll actually have the specific item I want at a decent price. Or, I could just press a couple of buttons on the "'puter" and have my stuff arrive a couple of days later. (Guess my area doesn't have the "instant" delivery option).

I needed a battery for my camera before I went on vacation. I looked on Amazon and saw it for 50 bucks. This was an authentic Nikon battery. I then looked at Best Buy's website and they had an Energizer version of the battery for 35 bucks. I ordered the battery from their website to pick up in the store since it was 15 bucks cheaper than Amazon. I get to the store to pick it up and they tell me they couldn't find it even though their inventory said they had a few in stock. They told me that they would have to order one and have it delivered to the store and it would be there within a week. It wasn't that big of deal since I didn't need the battery right away. After a week or so, I stopped by the store again and they said it would "probably" be another week. At this point, I went ahead and cancelled my Best Buy order and ordered the Nikon battery off Amazon right there in the store. 1 day later, I had my new battery in my mailbox which I should have just done in the first place.

I had a different experience with a recent order at Best Buy. I placed the order, and chose the option to pick it up at the store. Then I waited until I got a confirmation email saying it was there. I went to the counter with my order number and they brought out my order with a label attached indicating it was my specific order (as opposed to just stock they had on hand).

I'd just like to see Amazon and BestBuy links to the same product where BestBuy is 30% cheaper. My experiences is it more likely to be the other way around.
