I've had to buy a couple of the "new, improved" gas cans. I've never been able to figure out the spout. I use an old spout or I'll use a funnel.

I finally bought a couple of Jerry cans. They actually work.

That's exactly what I do. The spout is nothing more than a glorified cap. I take it off to pour the gas into the funnel.

I think mine has split behind its label. I use the funnel (and don't miss!) but gas still leaks onto the lawn mower deck from the gas can. Ugh!!!
