I have seen many of the scents I grew up with at Walmart, in the cosmetics aisle behind locked glass doors. The oldies seem to be on the bottom. It seems to me I have seen Emeraude there.
I used to enjoy a no. of fragrances when younger....have a tiny bottle of Taboo left, saw Woodhue in a catalog, buy Emeraude when I can find it (rare)....have seen Ambush, Chantilly, Muguet... Blue Grass I can still find...
Herbal Essences shampoo, but the original fragrance from the 70's.
My biggie: Vick's Vapo Shot. A painful (burns your nose) but highly effective remedy for clogged sinuses. I have had sinus headaches that nothing helped, but this stuff would make it go away like magic, instantly. I have a feeling people who didn't use it properly sued (I can see how you could get hurt if you boiled the water, against the instructions, or filled it higher than the line) and they discontinued it. I bought every one I could find online, paying $35 for the last box, which cost about $5 in the drugstore. Hoarding them, now.
Cetaphil antibacterial bar soap. Since the government made companies stop using the the ingredient they were using, Cetaphil has discontinued it. I loved washing my face with that soap. It made my skin feel so soft and smooth.
100 calorie pack snacks by Hostess. they were smaller and only had 100 calories. They were delicious. They also had small 100 calorie bags of doritos. They weren't as good as the original doritos but, if you wanted a quick, low calorie snack, they were perfect. I wish they would bring those back.
when I was little i loved lemon pepsi. Now they dont have it anymore. I miss it.
my grandma used to talk about a shampoo called your hair smells terrific. she even had a bottle that she kept bc she liked the smell so much! It's an old shampoo that they dont make anymore.
My first boyfriend worked at a discount store and bought that shampoo, not knowing what it was. I referred to it as "Gee Your Hair Reeks to High Heaven." It was truly disgusting.

My mother wore Emeraude when I was very young.
Is Taboo the same fragrance as Tabu by Dana? I remember smelling that as a girl, but I don't remember which relative or friend of the family who wore it, just that it wasn't my mother's.
There is another fragrance my Mom switched to later, and I'm hoping it will be mentioned. I know it did not smell anything like Emeraude and was supposedly more "sophisticated". I recall it being a darker color liquid in a clear bottle.

Oh yes, Tabu, thanks...
Was it by Coty? They made a lot of fragrances back then....my mom wore an Estee Lauder scent that was dark colored...

Yes, Emeraude was a Coty fragrance.
Did your Mom wear Youth Dew? It's not the other dark-colored fragrance that my Mom wore; however, I remember it was popular.
