I had to Google that one. Colored TP started in the 1950s to match bathroom designs, and the decline started in the 1980s when bathroom designs went basic white.

LOL Yes, I've heard that, too. But colored TP adds a little something to antiseptic, basic white bathrooms.
In fact, the reasons it was discontinued were that some people (always "some") were sensitive to dyes (and didn't know enough to buy the white TP), and "environmental concerns" which also led to the disappearance of Sani-Flush, something else I miss.
Anyway, I'm able to find TP with prints, but not solid colors. Yes, I miss that. And I know I'm not alone.
L'oreal used to put out a product called HAIR FIXER, wonderful product. You would put a tablet into the solution and apply to your hair without washing it out. It actually did what was advertised. Improved the condition of my sun and salt water damaged hair from the first application. *6 applications to a box. All my surfer friends that used it got the same great results.
Then, for some reason, it was discontinued.
Except that this product is available in Amazon right now!

Amazon UK has colored TP. Also eBay has it from overseas for $5 a roll with free shipping. Lots of colors to choose from. I think this might be a US retail problem. It probably costs the manufacturers too much money for the shelf space to display so many different colors of TP.
Are you talking about the ones that had XXX stamped on them ? Those were my favorites.
Bell Burgers from Taco Bell
Bubs Daddy chewing gum
Bacon flavored crackers, not the kind they have now where they have other flavors mixed with them.
Do they still make Goop hand cleaner ? I haven't seen it in years.
I think Goop is still out there somewhere. Check auto supply stores, they sell various brands out & around.
Bingo! I used to change the decor of my bathroom, which was peach tile with black on the top edge and peach paint above, a somewhat neutral color, by using a single color of towels, toilet paper, soap, and boxed tissue. I had blue, green and yellow to change out the bathroom on a weekly basis. It always looked good, and I enjoyed the change. (BTW, it was 1973-1975).
Yes, I do miss the colored toilet paper and tissue. White is sooooooooo boring.
