I don't pay for Prime for the purpose of getting two-day shipping (although it's nice when items arrive that fast).
I pay a yearly Prime fee so that I don't have to pay a shipping fee every time I order from Amazon, which is at least once a week. Ordering from Amazon means far fewer trips out to the drugstore or Walmart (big savings on fuel and wear and tear on my car). I can order gifts for family and have it shipped directly to them (big savings over packing and mailing gifts). It saves me so much time compared to driving to a store trying to find an item. And I watch a lot of shows on Amazon because I'm a cord-cutter. I get my ten bucks a month worth!
Same thing here. The two day shipping for me is just icing on the cake. It's not a huge big deal to me if it comes one or two days late. I don't have Prime because I absolutely need something in two days when I order it. BTW, I think one time in maybe 5 years something arrived one day late. Not too bad....
Just thought I'd update this thread - I'd previously said I did not have Prime and usually get my orders quickly. Still don't have Prime, placed an order Sat. afternoon, I just received it awhile ago.

Shh, don't tell them that you can get free two day shipping even without Amazon Prime. They want to think they are "special" with their Prime membership. Just let them think what they want. It makes them feel good. LOL.

It's not just about shipping....it includes Video, music, books, apps and more...but feel free to be condescending anyways!

Beware, Amazon is known to sit on orders for days before actually shipping them for non-Prime members. You were just lucky.
I get most of mine within 24 hours, if not then within 48 hours, and I don't pay a $119 for the privilege.
Cool?
Why do people keep thinking Prime members spend $119 a month just for 2-day shipping? There is a lot more to Prime, the 2-day shipping with no minimum purchase, is just one of the many perks that come with having a Prime account. And considering it's less than $10 a month, I'd say it's a pretty good deal.
For those who purchase from the Amazon dropshippers on eBay, looks like that will become a thing of the past now, since eBay has recently banned the practice of dropshipping from other marketplaces or retailers. Many sellers have already been banned and items that are being dropshipped from Amazon or other retailers are being taken down as we speak.

What does Ebay shooting themselves in the foot have to do with Amazon?

Plus I’m addicted to The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Prime Video. You can now access Prime video directly through Comcast remote now so I don’t even need my Firestick anymore.
