Looking around for a new one. Been using Pur. Some say Aquasana's high price is worth it and one filter lasts a long time. any experience to share?

I'll be keeping an eye out on this thread since I was thinking of getting one too.

So far, just been buying bottled spring water again these days, but lugging the water upstairs gets old after a while. I used to have a filter that attaches onto the kitchen faucet & did research on the brands, I never bought another.

I use the Zero water filter. It's a bit more expensive but it removes everything, including fluoride.

Here is a comparison chart. It's either A+, or C+ or D+, no B . Not sure if it's in any way affiliated with Aquasana since Aquasana would be the only choice according that comparison:

I had Zero and was not impressed.

Those are better choices:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...iltergadget-20 << Had this and it was pretty good. Very easy to install, if you can fit your faucet. Three years warranty. Watch the price, it goes down to ~$60

https://www.amazon.com/Aquagear-Wate...ef=pd_sbs_0_42
https://www.amazon.com/ROVSUN-Counte...J/ref=sr_1_117 More $$$ but cheaper filters.

I have been using the Brita water filter pitcher for many years and have no issues. I drink a lot of water so I go ahead and change out the filter about once a month instead of waiting the recommended two months.

As a friend said when I gave him a glass of the water, "Ah, this is good, it tastes wet like it should, no aftertaste". That is a very good description.
