I do it sometimes, like about every 3-5 mos. I love when I order & can pay already & my SO (significant other) simply picks it up on his way from work. It makes things so quick & easy.

We just ordered food from Cafe Rio just now!

Any other comments about it?

I only did it once, when I was working in Brooklyn. We ordered food from a Puerto Rican restaurant and had it sent to the office. It's the only place I've ever seen mofongo outside of Puerto Rico.

Usually if I want food, I just call and then go pick it up, but it seems as if online will be the way to go in the future.

I do look at online menus all the time before I decide to go somewhere.

About every other week or so. We don't get takeout that much, but when we do, family members often want things from two or three different places and it is so much easier to order and pay online and then just run out to pick up the food from here and there when it's ready.

I much prefer ordering online to calling and ordering. I know some people will always prefer talking to another human being; I'm just fine with the impersonal touch.

I would be, too. Humans get orders wrong all the time. I'm not even sure that most of the local places I order from even have an online ordering process. They probably do. I'll have to check.

As a matter of fact, we've got a place that has the BEST Buffalo wings around, meaning they are NOT breaded. I hate the breaded ones. It's just wrong.

Anyway, I was going to get some for myself tonight. Will check to see if I can order online.

ETA: Yes, I can, but using the "seamless.com" app.

Less than 1x a year. The Chinese restaurant I liked is gone now - not worth ordering pizza since they have a minimum, a delivery fee and have to give a tip.

I haven't done it in a long time. I used to do it back in the '90s, when a friend of mine had a pizza joint and then started an internet access company, co-located. He installed CCTV cameras, you could order your pizza and then watch it being made. Was he the first? I don't know, but he was definitely the first anywhere in the area.

About once or twice a month, several local Italian, American, Chinese and Mexican restaurants have online sites which make it easy (too easy!!) to order breakfast, lunch or dinner. They also have delivery through services like Uber Eats.
