Bezos intends to get us all to a place where we rely so heavily on Amazon that no other retailer, or retail model, exists. This would leave everyone, in every country, at any point in the consumer experience supply chain, being treated as badly as the worst-off Amazon worker.
This has recently come to my attention and I had no idea how despicable Amazon is to their employees. It makes me want to boycott buying anything from them. The issue is that we live in a rural area where it is hard to find many things locally that we can buy on Amazon and have delivered in just a couple of days. So I am wrestling with my decision to stop using Amazon, for now I am determined to try and look locally for everything first before I turn to Amazon for my needs. It's a small step in the right direction.
I don't see how the thread title matches what the op says about Amazon.
Jeff Bezos is greedy and Amazon doesn't treat their employees fairly, what does that have to do with, " do you want to feel really good this Christmas?"

It is not true. My nephew works in an Amazon warehouse. He makes seven dollars more an hour than he made when he worked for AutoZone, he does not have to pee in a bottle.

Where the hell are you getting this crap from? My friend works at the Amazon warehouse, and he recently got a pay raise. He's making more money there than he was working for Walgreen's DC. And he definitely is peeing out of bottles. Also, what does attacking Amazon have to do with "feeling really good this Christmas?"
I would buy in stores rather than Amazon if they had what I wanted without me having to go to 20 different places. I have kids and I work. I dont have the time to run all over the place to look for all the different things my kids want. I found it all on Amazon Prime. Super convenient . A huge time saver. Before online shopping was a thing I was dreaming of the day it would be a reality.

I did 80% of my Christmas shopping on Amazon so yeah, I’m feeling pretty darn good!
