Honestly, some of these hoarders and gougers are a few sheets short of a roll.

Good. All stores should enact this policy.

Technically 1 used round = as many rolls as you can take.

There is a reason: they want to sell it on Ebay and cash in. As of this posting, there are over 28,000 listings on Ebay for TP....a day or so ago there were 26,000.....that's where the tp is, and that's were the greed is.

That's part of the reason I ended my ebay account years ago, because I recognized all the greed that started going on there - and amazon, too. Re-sellers do things that not only hurt store's business but also hurt the general public.

Good. They'll be able to sell it eventually. They may have to wait a while; people will be super angry at the hoarders, I think. I would be.

They can give it to charity and get a tax deduction.

Of course, Costco should have had a limit at the outset, to prevent hoarding. I saw signs all over Walmart with limits on them.

In Costco's defense, i think in the beginning they could not have predicted this would happen.

And, no, I don't think the hoarders will be able to sell a lot of that stuff because amazon & ebay most likely cancelled their listings -- that's why they're trying to return it to Costco.

me too! Can't stand the greed. One thing is certain, I'll be more conscious of where things are made and from where goods are sold.

They won't be able to sell it online, but they can go door to door. They're already doing that in my city. Selling individual rolls of TP door to door. $3 a roll.

Although they probably could get rid of it at a reasonable price through local FB selling pages.

Amazon & ebay have banned price gouging. Not the sale of items. Note: they banned that ONLY because the fed agency called to tell them to. Price gouging is illegal.
