Given the amount of TP that's in that shopping cart, that might very well be the reason they were fighting. I heard the one lady say "I just want 'one' package."

Unreal how many people were paying $50-$100 for a 12 roll pack last week on Ebay that you can normally buy for around $6 to $10. Really sad to see how many were being taken advantage of, and there were plenty of bidders out there going nuts. Before I would ever pay that, I would resort to cutting up some old t shirts for wiping rags, lol.

Same goes for santitzer, N95 masks, etc. People are paying crazy prices for the stuff and making the crooks richer. Crazy times.

I don’t know. I have leaves in the back yard. TP isn’t a top-of-mind thing if I’m gonna hoard things.

Have fun scavenging for toilet paper after every crisis.
I have no problem getting TP. As far as using the bidet I don't care to have cold city regurgitated water splashing all over my butt and toilet. Still need TP to clean off and up.
Enjoy yours and have splish splashing good time.

I see this question a lot of places these days, and the answer seems quite obvious. If you can't get out to shop, you want a lot of essentials on hand. Of course people went totally nuts about it and the greedy people bought way too much.

I ran out today, was able to get diapers, a 3 pack of baby wipes. I even found the sleeping pills we use. I need ramen for the grand kids but there is none to be had. I ran into Target for ramen, they were out too but they had a pallet of toilet paper. By the time I came back from looking for ramen, the TP was almost gone so I got one. It's the one we use. I'll need it in a week or so anyway.

Why did people buy so much tp? Because the news (here) kept saying to stay in place and buy essentials that will last for several weeks. When the virus was declared a pandemic, people panicked. That was around 3/11 or 3/12 or so. We had a stay in place order since 03/16.
