Just scored a fabulous deal from Amazon! 96 rolls of 2-ply for a grand total of $65.72. The brand is called Livi Solaris (Basic)...never heard of them.

At a roll a week, that's two years' worth.

I continue to be sort of boggled at how highly modern 'Murricans rank tp as a necessity. I am somehow reminded of this cartoon...

TP seems to be a little easier to get these days on Amazon. It's no longer quite as frantic a struggle. People must be able to get them a little easier in the stores.

It's the isopropyl alcohol & anti-bacterial hand gel & wipes that are tough nowadays.

I suspect that part of the panic is over, as the notorious short attention span of our 'civilization' has moved on to panic over something else.

Since those are being used at an unprecedented rate, both in the medical community and out, I suspect there will be problems keeping up with the supply for another several months.

Yes, this does represent a genuine shortage due not just to a spike in retail demand, but actual use. I suspect the industry will ramp up on a more or less permanent basis to meet a more or less permanently increased level of use.

TP, OTOH, is probably experiencing something of a slight decline in actual use, from awareness/frugality. Which means the ongoing market is going to be even slower as people take that much longer to go through their enormous bricks in the garage.

Try Home Depot, type isopropyl alcohol in the search field and see what shows up.
