I went to Best Buy today to try to look for a new coffee machine and was surprised to see that all they had were K-Cup machines.
Are K-Cup machines the new thing now? I can't imagine why people would favor K-Cups over regular coffee machines since the pods are really overpriced and the coffee just doesn't taste as good a regular brewed coffee.
keurigs have been out for at least 10 years, likely longer. We tried (about 10 years ago...) but it was a terrible experience. We do have a nespresso but day to day coffee is still from a normal coffee maker or french press.

How do you make your "regular brewed coffee"?
Which K-cup(s) did you try that you thought were not as good?
Keurig actually sells several models that can use either K-cups or a pot with traditional ground coffee. I just used one for the first time at a VRBO last week and I'm thinking of replacing my 8-9 year old Keurig with one.
I imagine it depends. Where coffee consumption is random then probably. I was at a car dealer Saturday and the coffee was Keurig. Where the consumption is ongoing for hours on end then the old pots or Bunn 30 cup coffeemakers are likely in use.
One local convenience chain, Sheetz, has pretty much replaced their coffee pots with instant brew machines. That frees up staff from having to monitor and make coffee in pots as was done for decades.

FINALLY. I honestly have gone back and forth between Keurig and a regular coffee maker ( i prefer regular coffee, family likes the convenience of k cups)... I'll be ordering one of these!!!

That's just one retailer, try Target, Fred Meyer, or Walmart and you will find a whole selection including many different drip coffee makers. I agree with the taste of the K-Cup machines, but I still love the convenience since I will normally only drink one cup at a time and my wife drinks tea. I have the Nespresso Vertuo machine, the pods cost more but the coffee tastes much better. Rather than make 4 cups of drip and throw out 3, making one cup wiith one pod ends up more cost-effective.
It was only available from their website and retail stores like in Macy's, but recently the regular retailers have started carrying several flavors of Starbuck's in the Vertuo pods. At $10 for 8, that's still just $1.25/cup.

No. Certainly not. There are tons of regular coffee makers available in the stores and online. I know many people that simply don’t like K cups.I am one of them. I prefer to have a pot of coffee available. Also I don’t think the K cup coffee taste as good.
