It seems that you can't trust the shopping malls' official websites. It's not accurate info on there whether they're open or not or whether it's just certain stores &/or the anchor stores w/ their own entrances that are open. If you call, they don't always answer either.
Does anyone know of a website that lists them all (especially in the state of CALIFORNIA)? I just find sites that say what dates various public establishments open, such as these sources:
One time last month (Sept.), I went on a drive & came upon a mall I would have liked to go to & their site said their business hours, but it was really only certain restaurants & anchor stores.
A big, extremely nice mall in San Francisco, CA is closing. It's one of the Westfield malls & probably one of the best in California for sure, I'd say. Stores will remain open though, I guess until their lease runs out. I've only been able to go 2x very spaced out between the years since I live several hrs away. At least I have the memories.

Hopefully, everything revitalizes after a while & crime decreases & our world does NOT become some desolate land in which all we can do is stay at home because it's so unsafe out there & we have to order everything we need online from groceries to furniture.
Indoor malls have been dying for decades. Covid may have been the last nail in the coffin for many, but it wasn't the root cause. The newest "lifestyle center'" (outdoor shopping and entertainment center) in my neck of the woods still seems to be going gangbusters, every time I go it's full of people out and about.
We have a huge indoor shopping mall in Houston, called Sharpstown mall, you would be surprised how many still shop in physical stores, mostly Hispanic shoppers.
