Pay a qualified handyman to put it on the wall for you. Should cost under $100.

To do it right, you want to have a "chase" run in the wall to provide power to the TV and hide the cables, otherwise it doesn't look very good with the cables hanging down under the TV.

There are knock off brands. Stick with LG , Sony, Samsung for best quality amd most up to date tech.
The cheapest price I had was for an RCA I bought seven years ago and it is still working well though I am very sure LG's is way better. I use my streaming device and sound bar with it.

If you are not technically savvy with electronics you probably won't want something SMART as in SMART TVs. If you are going to be watching mostly cable TV and not using any bluetooth or streaming devices, or hooking up surround sound, you could go for something more basic and that takes us to Amazon.com for knock offs and lesser rated brands. There prices will be very cheap. If you have a credit card you can have it delivered directly to your door.

But check out AVSforums . So much info on specific screens (a lot of it is differentiating the bleeding edge from the pointy end though)
I thought Vizio was an off-brand.

At one time I believe there were only a couple of suppliers of LED screens so regardless of manufacturer that part was all the same; I don't know if that is still the case.

I would love to have a flat screen tv on the wall and would like your advice as to where to buy one, what make look for, and any advice as to how to get it on the wall without power tools. Money is a factor...I'm looking for the most affordable good thing. Thanks so much in advance.
The simplest and cheapest thing is to not mount it on the wall but just stand it on a piece of furniture. That also creates no problems with a landlord for damaging the wall.

I might get a new TV in the next 3-6 mos. I seem to like SAMSUNG.

I'd want a 4K smart tv probably either 43 or 47 inches. I currently have a 32 inch, so don't want to get too much bigger because each next TV people tend to want gets bigger & bigger each time.

My new Sammy turns back on by itself so watch out. My Sony 65" A1E OLED has been good.

OK, never heard of that happening, so good to know, thanks. I sure don't want to think that my place is suddenly HAUNTED. That would truly terrify me.

It only does it within 30 sec of turning it off. Not everytime.
