Sterilite translucent plastic stackable drawers are hideous. Where can I find something more attractive? They will be stacked up against a wall in a spare room so are not tucked away in a closet or garage. I'm undecided if I should get translucent or solid white plastic for a less cluttered appearance.

The only ones I can find online or in stores are basically a plastic frame to hold the drawers but the drawers are open to insects because they aren't encased in a box -- think of a chest of drawers. No, I don't want to spend money on multiple chests of drawers. My old plastic drawers, now cracked and discolored and scratched are great in that regard but I guess Sterilite couldn't make a profit using extra plastic to put each drawer in a box.

How big do you need these drawers to be?

I've seen some nice-looking "woven" look or even linen storage boxes with lids that could work. Some are specifically designed to hold files/paperwork.

Amazon has a variety of storage bins, too. I saw some interesting collapsible storage fabric "bags" that measure 23 x 16 x 13, with zippered lids and handles, meant for clothing, blankets, etc. A pack of 6 is going for $24.99.

HTH!

I think I just found something. It's out of stock, but this is a possibility. Signed up to get an alert when it's back in stock.
Still open to more suggestions, though. Keep 'em coming! Other people might have the same dilemma.

That seems like a nice-looking option.

I misunderstood when you mentioned that the drawers are open; I took it to mean you wanted something with an actual lid.

I had this in a master closet at one point and it worked well. It did come with optional legs, which I didn't use.

I'd just be careful about storing anything too heavy in the drawers.

I got an email this morning from Walmart saying the drawers I wanted were back in stock. Made breakfast, sat down to eat and order three of these carts. Got the message they were out of stock again!

I saw two rolling storage drawer units listed on WalMart.com just now; one by Rimax and one by Mainstays, the WalMart brand). The Rimax one is white and the Mainstays one is clear and probably looks more like the Sterilite kind you don't like. Just an idea for you.

I hate the Walmart search engine. Keeps coming up with different items using the same search terms.

These Sterilite look nice and have good reviews. More expensive so less storage at a higher price. Reviews also say top is flimsy for heavier items but photos show two stacked. I guess because the weight is around the circumference and not the center part. Someone used a glass top before putting a lamp on top.

Of course, these are out of stock, too!

Rimax is open storage, i.e. bin sits in a frame. I need something enclosed to keep bugs out.

Thanks for spotting that.
